How to rank Facebook Posts in Google Search and Google Images

Last year Meta changed their indexing. Posts from instagram, facebook and threads are now allowed to be crawled and indexed by Google.

Two things needed to rank a Facebook post in Google

What this means is.. you need one of two things to rank a facebook post:

  • A public facebook group that you either own, or can post in
  • A company page that you own

So what you need to do is simple. Make a facebook post.

Leading keyword in the Facebook post will rank in Google

You need to observe that the keyword you want the facebook post to rank for must be leading.

In the case of THIS post, it will rank for "How to rank Facebook Posts in Google Search and Google Images" as this is the leading keyword.

I hope this gives food for thought..

A small thing to note. Its not 100% sure that Google will index your facebook posts. Nothing is certain in the world of Google these days.. so I do sometimes send my posts to primeindexer to speed up indexing.
